Kratom, or, Mitragyna Speciosa, is a tree that is native to South East Asia and is from the same family as the Coffee Tree. There are endless references and recommendations on the internet on how people use kratom. It comes down to taste and preference. The most commonly used types of kratom are powder and extracts.

What are the effects of Kratom?

In small amounts kratom is a natural energy enhancer and produces an enhanced mood, making work more pleasurable. In higher dosages it becomes more of a numbing painkiller with sedative effects. Many people choose to use kratom as an opioid alternative.

Is Kratom dangerous?

IF Kratom is not mixed with other drugs or a lot of alcohol it is very safe. There are many scientific journals that show exactly how safe kratom is. It is almost impossible to overdose on it and compared to opioid based drugs Kratom does not cause respiratory failure or severe liver damage.

How much Kratom should I use for the right effects?

This comes down to the individual and type of kratom you use (powder or extract). We recommend starting with a small amount (2-4 grams powder, or 100 mg of extract) and experimenting with higher amounts from there.  Once you become a bit more familiar with it, it will be easy to determine how much you need for the desired effects. Please note that it is possible to build up a tolerance to Kratom therefore you should bear in mind what you are using it for. For lighter ailments or recreational use for energy performance it is better to use infrequently and avoid taking larger amounts often. For people suffering from chronic pain or drug withdrawal there are many online resources that detail various protocols for dealing with such issues.
